Come explore the first Accessible Arts area at the Roselle Park Arts Festival! There will be a special parking lot directly behind the Casano Center in Roselle Park Middle School's parking lot with a drop off area and reserved parking.
The festival will include adapted activities in music/art/dance for those with motor, physical, cognitive, developmental, or sensory challenges.It will be held in the air conditioned Casano Center for those that require a space that is quieter, less crowded and cooler than outdoors. Many activities along the outside Art Walk will have adapted materials as well. A “Fast Pass” to food trucks will be available to those caregivers/parents of people with disabilities who cannot stand in line.
The area will be equipment, including wheelchair, friendly, with adapted supplies including switch-activated activities, potentially an eyegaze activity, and high contrast colors/images for those with VI.Communication boards will be available in all popular symbol sets. We aniticpate someone competant in ASL will be on hand for those with HI. People without challenges may participate in all the indoor accessible activities, but those with need will be serviced first.
