Born and raised in Tbilisi, Georgia, Nini Iris grew up in a home filled with traditional Georgian folk music, a foundation that shaped her earliest artistic instincts. In 2016, Nini moved to New York to pursue her music career, immersing herself in a new creative environment that pushed her sound and vision forward.
Her journey led her to audition for NBC’s Season 24 of The Voice, where her blind audition performance of “I See Red” by Everybody Loves An Outlaw earned a four-chair turn. She ultimately chose to join her longtime idol, Niall Horan. Through hard work, individuality, and fearless artistic choices, she advanced to the semifinals. Performances such as Radiohead’s “Karma Police” and The Cure’s “Lovesong” left viewers captivated and eager to hear her original work. Nini’s songwriting and vocal approach blend “old world” charm with dark, textured overtones and an assertive pop edge. She performs with honesty, intensity, and emotional clarity, drawing listeners out of the everyday and into her universe. Her eclectic style and powerhouse vocals continue to leave audiences wanting more. |
