Helpful Tips when submitting your film to the Roselle Park Short Film Festival

Shorter the better 10 mins or less (the average is 15 minutes for the Roselle Park Short Film Festival)

If we say films no longer than 25 minutes including credits, it's 25 minutes!
Read the fine print regarding the use of your film.
You can email us questions regarding your film, such as, Do you think the film is too risqué for your festival?
Don’t be discouraged if you are not selected. Sometimes decisions are made because of scheduling. We don't have enough time to screen all of the great films submitted.
Read the instructions again.
Judges
Judges come from different backgrounds, etc. and have different wants and viewpoints. What would be a great short film to one judge, may not to another. Again, don't be discouraged.
Scheduling
Enter the right category, and truly log your film accordingly (like student, first time filmmaker, comedy, drama, dramady) Short film screening block are sometimes categorized based a type of film, where it was made, or who made it.
Your Information
Update your contact information, especially your email address!
Make sure your film description is focused and succinct. Your description and contact information should be copy/paste ready.
Access to your videos
This issue comes up all the time. Make sure you allow access to download and make sure you respond to emails or notices requesting passcodes or download access. Many films have been selected, but because they did not respond to access, they were lated rejected.
Materials
If you are selected, have photos, posters available to send. Sending a email with your poster files is nice, but mailing a poster to us guarantees it will be up and visible at the festival.
Social Media and Publicity
If you are selected, tell the world and hashtag #RoselleParkShortFilmFestival. We love when you share our festival information.
Share any postings about you selected films to us.
Please forward us any publicity you receive about your film.
Festival Day
Attend the Festival! You will be noticed and recognized.
Find a Short Film Festival Volunteer and let them know you are there. We have a central Arts Festival information booth if you are not sure where to go.
Network – not with just your colleagues – but with the festival organizers.
Offer your help for future events. Be a volunteer, judge or panel speaker)
And the most of all, enjoy all of the outdoors that the Roselle Park Arts Festival has to offer - Art, Music, Food, Fun....and FILMS!
